Jofra Archer replies to Tino Best’s jibe during England vs West Indies Rose Bowl Southampton Test Match 2020

Making a balance in the team can be a tricky task and a captain or the staff often have to take tough decisions. In the ongoing England vs West Indies Test series, Jofra Archer was picked ahead of Stuart Broad, who has been prolific for the side. The decision didn’t go down well with some and one of them was definitely Tino Jibe who showed his anger in a tweet yesterday.

International Cricket is coming back on track with England hosting West Indies for a 3 match Test series. The first Test got underway on 8th July at Southampton, where we also saw a special gesture of solidarity from both the teams in support of Black Lives Matter movement. The players from each team took a knee for 30 seconds to support the movement.

Archer made his ODI debut in May 2019, and was part of the World Cup winning squad the same year. He is an exciting new talent for the England team and his selection didn’t surprise many however Tino Best thinks otherwise.

That’s not fair at all: Tino Best

He said in a tweet:

“Honestly why Archer playing before Broad chaaaaa fair is fair tho, cause u have Wood bowling 90+, and he’s bowling the same pace as Broad, I have no problem with Broad being pissed #EngVsWI….. that’s not fair at all”

Archer has replied to Tino Best’s tweet now saying:

“With all this knowledge how are you not a coach yet?”

Taking a dig at Tino Best, even DJ Bravo has commented on Archer’s tweet. He said, “100% true, big disappointment!!” People were speculating about Tino Best’s reaction on the same and as expected Tino Best has called Archer out on his reply tweeting:

“Don’t address me personally Young man, the fact remains your bowling toothpaste and u haven’t bowled Quickly since ASHES, now go sleep and get some rest for WI to beat ya ball in the second innings bye Jorfa #SleepTight”

As for the match, team England is on the back seat at the moment trailing by 99 runs in their second innings. Earlier, England were all out for a fairly low score of 204, to which West Indies replied with 318, getting a healthy lead of 114.
