Jofra Archer ruled out of England’s 2022 Summer Season

Jofra Archer has been struggling with multiple injuries for over a year which has made his comeback to the team rather difficult. Archer has undergone a series of injuries in the last 14 months, 3 surgeries to be precise. The first surgery was done to remove a shard of glass from his hand and the next two surgeries were performed on his elbow. However, after suffering a back stress fracture, Jofra Archer has been ruled out of England’s 2022 summer season.

Jofra Archer had made himself available for the IPL Mega Auction 2022 and was later bought by Mumbai Indians for a huge amount of INR 8 crore. Unfortunately, his injuries didn’t allow him to participate in the league which hurt Mumbai Indians to an extent, who had bought the English bowler for good returns. The England Cricket Board is finding it difficult with a lot of their pace bowlers struggling with injuries.

The board was compelled to rule out Jofra Archer after he suffered another injury in the form of a back stress fracture. Archer last played competitive cricket in March 2021 and has been hoping to make a comeback since then, however, he has been facing one injury or the other which has made things really difficult for him. The main concern for ECB is that there is no definite timeframe for Jofra’s return and it could take a while for him to recover. The English fans will hope for their star bowler to get well soon and make a return to the field.
