‘Kidhar Chahiye Bol’ – Rohit Sharma Hints At Entering IPL 2025 Auction

Rohit Sharma's comment might hint at him looking to enter the IPL 2025 auction.

Rohit Sharma’s IPL future is currently a topic of discussion, with rumors swirling about the former Mumbai Indians captain potentially entering the IPL auction. However, this will only be possible if Mumbai Indians release him or if Rohit himself chooses to part ways with the franchise. Speculation about the tension between MI and Rohit has been ongoing since the last IPL, when he was removed from the captaincy.

Rohit Sharma responded to a fan’s IPL 2025 Auction query

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has dropped a hint suggesting that he may be considering a move to another IPL team. During the ongoing India vs New Zealand Test match at Chinnaswamy Stadium, a video of Rohit has gone viral. In the video, a fan is seen asking him, “Rohit Bhai, IPL me kon sa team? (roughly translating to which team he plans to play for in IPL 2025)”

Players often ignore such questions because answering them can lead to media sensationalism. However, Rohit himself served up some “masala” while responding to the fan, saying, “Kidhar chahiye bol (Which team do you want me to play for?)” The fan replied, “Come to RCB!” However, after this, there was no response from Rohit as he headed to the pavilion.

This could be a slight hint that Rohit may enter the IPL 2025 auction. However, a definitive answer will become clear in the next 12-15 days. October 31st is the deadline for IPL franchises to submit their lists of retained and released players.

Speaking of Mumbai Indians, there are hopes for Hardik Pandya to be retained as captain. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is almost certain to be retained. However, questions also remain about Suryakumar Yadav, who has now become the T20I captain of Team India. Some franchises are considering him for their captaincy, and there may not be a better opportunity for Surya to enter the IPL auction.
