The 66th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 was a nail-biting affair as the fans were brought on edge of their seats owing to the drama the match ensued. It was a high-scoring contest and KKR was very well on course to perform a heist, but it was Evin Lewis who changed the game completely with his one-handed blinder. Evin Lewis grabbed a stunner to seal the game

In an all-important match for both the teams, LSG skipper KL Rahul opted to bat and the Lucknow opening pair did the job for its team. The duo of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock lit up the DY Patil Stadium with their sensational batting. Quinton de Kock in particular stole the show with his clobbering as he notched up the third-highest individual score in the history of the IPL. However, when things were going KKR’s way in the second inning, it was Evin Lewis who turned the game on its head with his spectacular catch.

When LSG scored 210 runs, many would have thought it to be a safe score, but KKR batsmen were on the task and looked all set to win the game. KKR needed 21 runs off the last over which Marcus Stoinis was going to bowl. Rinku Singh was on strike and was looking very dangerous. He sent the first four deliveries of the over for a four, two maximums and a double and the equation came down to 3 runs in 2 balls. It was on the fifth delivery of the over when Evin Lewis sealed the game for LSG with his one-handed blinder.

Stoinis bowled a slow and wide delivery which Rinku looked to hit over extra cover. He sliced the ball a bit and it looked like the batsman will be safe, but Evin Lewis ran across and stretched his left hand to grab a stunner. The spectacular catch meant that the dangerous-looking Rinku Singh was back in the hut. Stoinis bowled Umesh Yadav on the last delivery which confirmed LSG’s thrilling victory and a berth in the playoffs.
