With the help of Kieron Pollard and Nathan Coulter-Nile, Mumbai raked up 54 runs in the last three overs.
KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal opened the innings for KXIP while chasing a total of 177. Rahul and Mayank were off to flying a start. However, a scintillating delivery from Bumrah castled Mayank. In the second super over, Mumbai scored 11 runs, and Punjab needed 12 runs to win the game. Chris Gayle’s first ball six in the second super over made the job easier for Punjab. Following that, Mayank closed the game for Punjab with a boundary. KXIP skipper was awarded the Man of the Match for his heroic fifty. KL also took Punjab in the second over with his excellent glovework behind the stumps.
