‘Learn from Virat & Anushka’ – Netizens slam KL Rahul & Athiya Shetty for visiting a ‘strip club’ in London

Team India opener KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty allegedly visited a ‘strip club’ in London recently as some videos went viral on social media in which the couple could be seen together. Netizens have slammed KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty for visiting the strip club and some of them even ask them to learn from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.

KL Rahul, who’s the skipper of IPL franchise LSG, had recently suffered an injury on the right thigh while sprinting behind the ball during the RCB vs LSG game. After the game, he was ruled out of the competition as he declared himself unfit.

Later, KL Rahul informed his fans that he will be undergoing surgery on his right thigh and will miss the WTC Final as well. He had then shared a couple of pictures of him on his Instagram account walking on the streets of London with the help of crutches. His wife and actress Athiya Shetty was also seen in the pictures.

While KL Rahul has been in the UK since he got injured, a video from a strip club in London has caught everyone’s attention on social media. In the video, a woman can be dancing on the ramp. Further in the video, a man could be seen having a striking resemblance to KL Rahul. It has made netizens believe that Rahul might have visited the club. In another video surfaced on social media, both KL Rahul and Athiya were seen together.

Cricket fans criticized KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty for visiting the strip club and some of them even asked to learn from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. “So-called strip club is a ‘regular place’ for Athiya Shetty nd KL Rahul. I hope,my wife’s ‘regular place’ is to visit temple like them, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma,” wrote one of the Twitter users.

Earlier, Athiya Shetty decided to take a stand against the social media outrage and shared a statement on her Instagram stories, slamming the netizens. She clarified that they went to a ‘regular place’ and told them to stop taking things out of proportion.

“I usually choose to be silent and not react, but sometimes it is important to stand up for yourself. Rahul, I and our friends went out to a regular place as one does. Stop taking things out of context, and check your facts before reporting. Peace and love,” Athiya Shetty wrote on her Instagram story.
