As a consequence of the non-stop rain on the Day 5 of the Nottingham Test, the undesirable happened and the test match ended in a draw. After an unfortunate end to the 1st test now the teams move on to the next stop, Lord’s, for the 2nd Test match of the series. Here is the Pitch report and the Test Records of the Lord’s cricket ground.

After an exciting 4 days of Cricket, the rain on the 5th day washed away the most anticipated, match-deciding day. Heading on to the 5th day of the 1st test, India were the favorites to win the match. The visitors had to score 157 runs with 9 wickets in hand but the Rain-Gods had other plans. As the English Captain Joe Root said, the weather did rob away a close game of Cricket.

Joe Root was also named as the ‘Player of the match’ for his knock of 109 runs in the 2nd innings. Jasprit Bumrah grabbed the most, 9 wickets, in the 1st test.
