According to reports Mahendra Singh Dhoni to be ignored for the series as selectors want to give maximum chances to Rishabh Pant before 2020 T20 World Cup. A senior BCCI official said, “There are only 22 T20 Internationals before India play their first World T20 game and selectors are clear in their vision that it’s time to move forward,”

The official further said, “Retirement is an individual decision and selectors or for that matter, no one has any right to decide on that front. But they have every right to decide the roadmap for the 2020 World T20 and that’s to give Rishabh Pant maximum chances,”

Ahead of the Windies tour, selectors confirmed that Rishabh Pant will play as the no.1 keeper. Now, Selectors are looking to create a pool of 3 wicket-keepers; Rishabh Pant and other two names could be Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan.
