After sweeping the hosts 3-0 in the T20I series Australia is all set to put the Proteas under pressure in the One-day series. The three-match ODI series will be a great stage for both teams to test their squad ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. It’s a good-quality batting surface that offers only a minimal amount of assistance to the fast bowlers in the initial phase. Once the ball gets old it comes nicely onto the bat and the top-order batters of both sides can enjoy their time on the crease.
Stroke-making is easier on this pitch, especially during the second innings under the lights. The doesn’t spin much out here which results in batters taking the charge against the spin bowlers. However, the seamers can get some help only if they hit the deck hard on the good-length area.
