Previously Australia had whitewashed Sri Lanka in T20 series by 3-0. Now they have continued their grand form by beating Pakistan in T20 series by 2-0. In the final T20 of the series, Australia beat Babar Azam-led Pakistan team in a one-sided clash. There were expectations of a strong performance from Pakistan team that they could at least draw the series.

But once again, Pakistan’s batting line-up collapsed badly as they could only score 106 runs while batting first. Australia chased the target without losing any wicket. Aaron Finch scored 52 while David Warner remained two runs short of his half-century. It took them only 11.5 overs to chased the target.

Mitchell Starc Castles Mohammad Rizwan

Mitchell Starc who opened the bowling today, created troubles for men in green. In 2nd over of his spell, Starc gave a send-off to Pak skipper Babar Azam. In the very next ball, Mitchell Starc clean bowled Mohammad Rizwan with a peach of a delivery.  It was a perfect inswinger which left Pakistan batsman clueless. Rizwan had no idea how to play it and rather than defending his first ball of the match, he tried a shot but the ball uprooted his leg stump.

This is Pakistan’s 5th loss while Australia’s 5th win in their respective last 6 matches. As the T20 series is over, now both teams will take each other in the 2-match Test series which is starting from 21 November. This is Pakistan’s first series in ICC World Test Championship while Australia’s second after Ashes series.

But, Pakistan team is badly struggling for a long time. Recently, Sri Lanka whitewashed them in their own backyard and now 2-0 loss against Australia has given more worries for them. They experimented by sacking their head coach Mickey Arthur and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. But things are not working for them.
