Mitchell Starc is the most experienced pacer in the current Australian bowling line-up. However, the ongoing test series against India has not been great for the 30-year old. Known for his wicket-taking ability, Starc could take only 11 wickets in the 4 test matches. The average performance of the left-armer led to a comparison with Mohammed Siraj who made his debut in the series. Mitchell Starc’wife Alyssa Healy glanced at one of the tweets on the comparison between two pacers and was quick to school the Twitter user.

Siraj who made his test debut in the 2nd test as a replacement for Mohammed Shami earning a lot of praise for the performance. The 26-year old pacer takes 13 wickets in 3 tests which include a 5-wicket haul. A Twitter user compares his performance with Mitchell Starc. “Lmao Siraj has more wickets than Starc in this series #AUSvIND,” wrote the fan.

The wife of Australian speedster and wicket-keeper batsman of Aussie women’s team Alyssa Healy finds the comparison unpleasant. She engages in a war of words as she reckons nothing is amusing if Siraj has picked more wickets than Starc. “Why’s it funny?! Reflects Siraj’s ability and reward for effort,” tweeted Alyssa Healy.

Her reaction draws the attention of another fan who questions if Starc has no ability.“According to you.. Either Starc has no ability or he isn’t putting enough efforts,” asked the fan. Again Allyssa Healy was quick to reply, “Actually no. I’m giving credit to a young Indian bowler who’s had an incredible series and should be praised for his efforts!”

Currently, Alyssa Healy is out of the action as the Indian women’s tour of Australia was postponed due to Covid-19. Both boards will reschedule the series after reaching a combined decision. Although, Australian women are set to tour New Zealand for 3-match T20I and 3-match ODI series. Series sets to start from 28 March.
