In the first-ever New York-based Cricket League a few retired India players will take part. The league will feature top international players along with USA domestic players. The league has the main aim of promoting the sport in America. The league will begin on the 13th of July at the Grand Prairie stadium.
The MLC 2023 is set to kick off with the game between Texas Super Kings and Los Angeles Kingh Riders. Veteran South African batter Faf Du Plessis will wear the CSK colors once again this time in a different league.
The Los Angeles team is also having firepower in the names of Andre Russel, Rillee Rossouw, Sunil Narine, and Martin Guptill. The game will be played on the 13th of July which is also the birthday of Faf Du Plessis. The timing of the match will be totally different from the Asian time as the whole tournament will be hosted in America.
The evening games will be telecasted at 6:00 AM in Indian whereas the afternoon matches will commence at 2:00 AM in the night.

The MLS is the only league where retired Indian players are allowed to play. Ambati who recently said goodbye to the IPL cricket after the 2023 finals will also be featuring in the brand new T20 league. Along with Rayudu Under 19 World Cup-winning captain Unmukt Chand will also play in this tournament.
- Ambati Rayudu (Texas Super Kings) – The former CSK batter and a five-time IPL champion Ambati Rayudu will dawn the Super Kings color once again. The 37-year-old will be playing for Texas Super Kings in the Major League Cricket 2023.
- Unmukt Chand (Los Angeles Knight Riders) – The 30-year-old right-handed top order batter Unmukt Chand will represent Los Angeles Knight Riders in the MLC 2023. The U-19 World Cup 2012 winner has played a lot of franchise cricket across the globe including the BBL.
- Smit Patel (San Francisco Unicorns) – Smit Patel is also another player of the lott who won the U-19 World Cup 2012. The wicket-keeper batsman will be very useful for San Francisco Unicorns in the tournament.
- Milind Kumar (Texas Super Kings) – Another Indian domestic superstar who managed to get his name in the MLC 2023 is Milind Kumar. The 32-year-old has represented RCB and Delhi Daredevils in the IPL.
- Saurabh Netravalkar (Washington Freedom) – Saurabh is an Indian-born American cricketer who has led the USA national team on various occasions. He is a left-arm pacer known for his swing and accuracy.
