When he tried to recover, a rushed throw turned into another fumble before the ball rolled all the way to the boundary ropes. What should have been a single turned into four runs, and Pollard stood at the non-striker’s end, grinning in disbelief.
It was a moment of fielding chaos that summed up MI New York’s night, a match they couldn’t quite pull back despite Pollard’s late fireworks. While Pollard’s 70 off 39 balls (five fours and five sixes) kept the chase alive, it wasn’t really enough. MI New York finished at 184/9, falling short by 39 runs.
