Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj was in some serious limelight as India defeated South Africa in the third ODI and grabbed the series 2-1.

Siraj was the pick of the bowlers and was awarded the Man of the series award for his consistent bowling throughout the series.

The star India pacer delivered an emotional speech after getting the MOTS award which is now going viral.

Mohammed Siraj’s emotional response to Murali Kartik

Murali Kartik applauded Siraj’s bowling performance in the post-match presentation while using the Hyderabadi dialect.

Kartik asked Siraj,”Miyan, kya bowling karte hain aap! Sahi bola mein Hyderabadi mein? (Some bowling you’ve been doing lately! Did I say it right in Hyderabadi?).”

To which the pacer replied, “Bilkul Sir, (Absolutely Sir).”

“Performing against a good team gives you a lot of confidence. I had to take the responsibility. I try to figure out the right lengths at the start of the innings. As a fast bowler you need that fire and passion inside you. Happy with my performance, and happy to get this Player of the Series award,” Siraj added.

The Hyderabad pacer grabbed 5 wickets in the series and was quite economical as well. He must have got selectors’ attention for a spot in the T20 World Cup squad as Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the tournament.

He bowled exceedingly well in Ranchi while getting a couple of wickets and carried on his momentum in Kotla where he scalped three South African batters.

The Indian team is now playing practice matches in Australia with a 14-member squad while they’re yet to name the replacement for Bumrah.

There are some concerns about Mohammad Shami’s fitness as well who looks like the first contender for the spot.

On the other hand, Deepak Chahar, who’s on the reserve players list for the World Cup is also facing injury issues and hence selectors might be tempted to send Siraj for the World Cup.
