MS Dhoni can’t speak in Hindi as Harshal Patel comes out to the crease

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has gathered momentum and giving the fans a dose of much-needed entertainment every day.  The cash-rich league has not even reached the halfway mark, but the fans have already witnessed some serious amusement. The 19th match between the table toppers Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings was a bonanza for the cricket-lovers. MS Dhoni was at his usual best behind the stumps as one of his statements was caught on the mic stump.

The match saw Ravindra Jadeja in his element as he gave a spectacular all-round performance for his team. The left-handed all rounder smashed the purple cap holder Harshal Patel for a whopping 37 runs in the last over of the first inning. The ruthless hitting by Jadeja helped the Chennai Super Kings set a massive target of 192 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

MS Dhoni makes a remark on Patel’s arrival

MS Dhoni heaped praises on the all-rounder in the post-match presentation calling him a game-changer. Apart from Jadeja’s performance, MS Dhoni’s chatter behind the stumps also caught the attention of the viewers. After Jadeja castled AB de Villiers, Harshal Patel came on to bat and Dhoni was quick to make a remark on his arrival.

The seasoned campaigner said that he and his team members could not speak in Hindi after Patel’s arrival on the crease as he would be able to understand the conversation. Prior to that, AB de Villiers and Kyle Jamieson were batting and they couldn’t decipher what the CSK players were talking about. Jadeja couldn’t stop laughing at his captain’s remark. Even the commentators couldn’t help but laugh on the cheeky comment by MS Dhoni.

“Ab Hindi me nahi bol sakta hun,” were the exact words by Dhoni. RCB’s batting crumbled under pressure and fell way short of the target. Jadeja shined with the ball as well as he picked up three crucial RCB wickets. He also effected a run-out and was deservingly given the Player of the Match award. With 4 wins in 5 games, CSK are on the top of the table having 8 points in their kitty while RCB is at 3rd position with 8 points as well.
