MS Dhoni Set To Play A New Tournament, But Not Cricket Tournament

Since the ICC World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni is out of the action and there is still no update that when the former captain is joining team India. However, he has started work on his fitness by participating in other games. And now Dhoni is all set to play a new tournament but it is not related to cricket.

The 38-year-old has shown no sign of a return to international cricket. Initially, he announced a two-month sabbatical, but it kept on stretching. Now, the reports say he will return in 2020 although selectors have expressed their opinion clearly. They aren’t seeing him a part of Team India’s future. 

MS Dhoni is currently enjoying his time in home town Ranchi along with family. Meanwhile, Former Indian team captain Dhoni will be participating in the Tennis Tournament at JSCA stadium this year again. During the last year tournament, Dhoni had won the JSCA Country Cricket Club Tennis Championship in Ranchi. And this time he has once again started the preparation to win the tournament.

Recently, a fan’s page on Twitter has posted pictures in which MS Dhoni was seen practising for the upcoming tennis tournament at JSCA. The 38-years-old was wearing ‘Balidaan’ symbol Jersey while he was practising as we can see in the pictures. Last year, MS took part in the men’s double category along with local tennis player Sumit Kumar and had won the tournament final with 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets. Dhoni will be looking to defend his title this year.

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old still has the fitness like a youngster and currently, Team India is missing his absence as Rishabh Pant is continuously making the mistakes. Recently, during the India vs Bangladesh T20 series, fans chanted Dhoni-Dhoni from the stands when Rishab Pant made plenty of mistakes in the game.
