Former WWE Champion reacts to SKY’s stellar knock

Drew McIntyre, the former WWE star, is known for following Cricket and has admired Suryakumar Yadav’s previous knocks in the past as well. He was in complete awe of Yadav’s knock against the Kiwis in Mount Maunganui which led India to a comfortable 65-runs victory.

Drew McIntyre took to Twitter after the scintillating knock and wrote, “My man Sky Yadav coming through again. Best T20 player in the world right now!” He also shared a video of Surya’s innings which showed all the impossible shots that Suryakumar Yadav makes possible in all his knocks. He had previously applauded Yadav’s knock against Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup too.

On a pitch where all other Indian batters struggled to score freely, Yadav kept on playing his shots as usual in a 360° manner. In no time he smashed his second T20I ton in the same calendar year after he had scored his first T20I ton against England. The aggressive batter remained unbeaten and scored 111 runs off just 51 deliveries hitting 11 fours and 7 sixes.

Suryakumar Yadav came into bat after the Indian team had a sluggish start as Rishabh Pant just scored 6 runs while Ishan Kishan struck 36 runs off 31 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer too got a hit-wicket after looking good for a brief period of time. It was then Suryakumar Yadav came in with a breathtaking knock while taking a few risks here and there.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar started off well with the new ball while Deepak Hooda was the pick of the bowlers as he came up with figures of 4-10 as he took wickets of Daryl Mitchell, Sodhi, Southee, and Milne in quick succession.
