New Zealand announces dates of home limited overs series vs India; to be played in 6 different venues

Team India's tour of New Zealand will kick off 4 days after the Final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

New Zealand has announced the schedule for their 2022-23 home season which starts later this year. Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, the Williamson-led side will be playing a tri-series at home. Post the World Cup, New Zealand will be hosting the Indian side for a white-ball tour. The Schedule of the India tour of New Zealand 2022 is provided ahead in the article.

Back in 2021, as soon as the T20 World Cup ended in the UAE, the New Zealand side, which also featured in the Final of the tournament, landed in India for a bilateral series. In a similar fashion, this time around the Indian side will be heading to New Zealand for a white-ball tour as soon as the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 ends in Australia.

India tour of New Zealand 2022 Schedule

The Indian tour of New Zealand will consist of 3 T20Is and as many ODIs. The matches will be played at six different venues across New Zealand. The tour will kick off with the T20I series, the first match of which will be played on the 18th of November. The T20Is will be followed by the ODIs and the 3rd ODI which will be played on the 30th of November will mark the end of the series. Notably, this particular tour will be starting just 4 days after the T20 World Cup Final which is to be scheduled to be played on the 13th of November.

Prior to the T20 World Cup 2022, New Zealand will be playing a tri-series at home with Bangladesh and Pakistan which will consist of 5 T20Is. After hosting the limited-overs series against India, New Zealand will be touring the sub-continent for a tour of Pakistan and India.

New Zealand Cricket has also released the schedule for the 2-match test series which they’ll be hosting against England in February next year. After England, Sri Lanka will be next visiting New Zealand according to the recently released home schedule. The tour will consist of 2 tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is and will be played from March 9 to April 8, 2022.
