Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, several football stars have expressed their interest to shift their base to Saudi Pro League. There has also been a drastic increase in terms of viewership and traction in the football fraternity.

Meanwhile, in the latest development, Brazil star Neymar Jr gave the green light to join Al Hilal. Yes, the Paris Saint Germain forward has joined Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, which is also the arch-rival of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. Reports in France were rife that Neymar has agreed to pen a two-year contract.

The Ligue 1 giants PSG and Al Hilal are now discussing the terms of the transfer of the 31-year-old experienced campaigner. It will be quite interesting to see what the future holds in store for the Brazilian international. If Neymar’s deal is done, the landscape and the complexion of the Saudi Pro League will completely change.

“Neymar has agreed with Al-Hilal on a two-year contract. PSG and the Saudi club are discussing the terms of the transfer of the Brazilian striker,” French daily L’equipe reported on Sunday.

Renowned journalist, Fabrizio Romano took to his official Twitter handle to confirm the latest development. He added that the Saudi-based franchise are working towards getting the deal done. Neymar has already agreed to join the franchise. Al Hilal booked medical tests and are waiting for Neymar camp’s final confirmation.

“Al Hilal are preparing formal documents to be checked on Monday in order to get the Neymar Jr deal done. #Neymar Player already approved the move, two-year contract — lawyers will be on it. Al Hilal already booked medical tests; waiting for Ney’s camp’s final green light,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

Meanwhile, the report adds that the player will earn more than 160 million euros at Al Hilal. The veteran footballer spent as many as six years at PSG. He joined the Ligue 1 giants in 2017 from Barcelona for a then-world record transfer fee of €222 million. Having represented the team 112 times in Ligue 1, he netted 82 goals and recorded as many as 50 assists so far.
