The spat between the Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and former cricketer-turned commentator/analyst Sanjay Manjrekar is known to all cricket fans. Jadeja is one of the mainstays in the current Indian setup and played a crucial role in team India’s win against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday. In the post-match presentation, Manjrekar had to take an interview of Jadeja and Mayanti Langer trolls Sanjay Manjrekar on Live TV.

For the uninitiated, during the 2019 World Cup, Sanjay Manjrekar did not like the performance of Jadeja and went on to call him a ‘bits and pieces cricketer, who can’t contribute in one particular department to his potential. It has been 3 years since the verbal spat between Jadeja and Manjrekar took place online and it seems both the people involved have put the incident behind them. However, Mayanti Langer trolls Sanjay Manjrekar during the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh match.

During a discussion on the slow-over rate in India vs Pakistan clash, Mayanti Langer trolls Sanjay Manjrekar as she brings up the name of Ravindra Jadeja when Manjrekar suggested teams bowl their overs quicker. It is to note that both India and Pakistan had to bring in an extra fielder inside the circle in the death overs as they were penalised according to new rules that have been enforced by ICC.

Talking on the topic of slow-over rate, Styris opined that the teams should finish their spinners’ overs before the death overs as it is not easy for a spinner to bowl at the end of the inning. Manjrekar had a pretty straightforward reply to Styris’s analysis as he said, “I have a very quick solution and a very simple tactic. Just bowl your overs quicker.” This comment by Manjrekar prompted Mayanti Langer to troll the analyst as she mentioned Ravindra Jadeja.

“Sanjay, not everyone is Ravindra Jadeja,” she replied, referring to Jadeja’s habit of finishing his overs quickly. Manjrekar took this trolling in good spirit as he replied saying, “good one.” As for Jadeja, the all-rounder has proved his mettle more than once in the international arena and has become one of the strongest pillars of the Indian team.
