On Holi, MS Dhoni gives a special gift to fans at his Ranchi Farmhouse

Dhoni's Eeja farm in Ranchi has been opened for three days in order to spread the agricultural knowledge among the people.

While Dhoni is currently at Surat, preparing for the upcoming season of the IPL, he has given a special gift to his fans at his hometown Ranchi. As per a report by India Today, the CSK skipper has opened his Ranchi farmhouse for the people of the city. On the special occasion of Holi, the ‘Eeja’ farm will be open for the common people for three days.

According to the report by India Today, Dhoni’s farmhouse which is located in Jharkhand’s Chambo will be made accessible to the public during the festive week of Holi. People will be allowed to visit the 43-acre farmhouse and buy vegetables and fruits on March 17, 18, and 19. With a lot of variety in the production, strawberry, papaya, guava, watermelon, peas, capsicum, and wheat are being cultivated in the farmhouse.

Dhoni’s Eeja Farm has an integrated farming system

An integrated farming system has been implemented in the Eeja farm hence all agriculture-related components like dairy, poultry, fisheries, and agriculture can be availed there. The Agricultural Advisor of MS Dhoni, Raushan Kumar, said that soon bee-keeping and mushrooms will be added as well.

One of the main highlights of the farmhouse is Strawberries, which are priced at INR 50 for a 250 grams box. What’s more interesting is that currently on a purchase of one box, another is being given for free. As said by Raushan Kumar, it is being done to encourage the people to visit the farmhouse. He said that the people can pluck and take away fresh vegetables and fruits home directly from the farm during the three days. Raushan Kumar also said while talking to ANI that the farm has been opened to spread agricultural knowledge among the public so that people can learn how the production is done.

The last season’s finalists will kick off the upcoming season

The Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will be starting off their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on the 26th of March. MS Dhoni has captained the CSK side since the inception of the league and led them to four titles. The side would be looking for the 5th title this season and join Mumbai Indians with the most number of titles.
