Australia to restrict Cameron Green from bowling in IPL

Mumbai Indians had a terrible outing in the IPL 2022 season as they were placed at the bottom of the points table with just four victories in their fourteen games. The MI team management decided to overhaul the squad as they released quite a few players from their previous year’s squad. Cameron Green was their biggest buy for this season as they are looking for a change in their fortune.

However, Green was hit on his right hand by an Anrich Nortje delivery in the first innings of the Melbourne Test and is set to undergo a surgery to fix the fracture to his right index finger. Now, as per the reports, Cameron Green will be available to play only as a batsman in the tournament till April 13 after which he can bowl for the Mumbai-based franchise.

As the news broke out, Mumbai Indians’ Fans have shown different reactions across social media platforms. While most fans called it ‘Paisa Barbaad’ others are pleased with the fact that he is at least available for the complete season as a batter.

“Make him an opener, he will be worth every penny spent,” wrote a Twitter user. There were contrasting opinions by the cricket fans on Twitter, but the Mumbai Indians franchise must be hoping to see a fully fit Cameron Green ahead of the IPL 2023 season.
