PAK vs WI: Fan enters pitch to salute Shadab Khan; the batter wins hearts by giving him a hug

Team Pakistan and West Indies are currently engaging in a 3-match ODI series with one more match to go. The second game of the series took place on Friday in Multan Cricket Stadium where Pakistan trumped West Indies to take an unassailable lead. Though the performance by Pakistan was commendable, there was one incident in the PAK vs WI match involving Shadab Khan which warmed the hearts of fans.

The level of security in international matches is pretty tight but still, there are some incidents where fans sneak into the ground to see their favorite cricketers up, close, and personal. A similar incident happened in the second PAK vs WI match, where a fan dodged the security to salute the Pakistani all-rounder, Shadab Khan. The cricketer’s reaction to the whole incident has won the hearts of many fans who witnessed the episode.

The heart-winning episode in the PAK vs WI match came in the 39th over of the game when Anderson Phillip was bowling to Shadab Khan who was new on the crease and had only scored 9 runs. As Phillip was going to bowl the delivery, the fan came running in and saluted Shadab Khan, to which the cricketer replied with a warm hug.

The gesture by the Pakistani cricketer has been receiving accolades from the fans and it became the highlight of the PAK vs WI match. As for the match, Pakistan was all over West Indies as they bowled out their opponent on just 155 runs in their chase of 276. The Windies batsmen were outplayed by the Pakistani bowlers and as a result, the hosts took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The third game of the series will be played on Sunday in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
