There was a time when tri-series were a common feature in cricket. The Commonwealth Series, hosted by Cricket Australia, used to involve three teams in an ODI format and was very popular among fans. However, it was discontinued after the 2014-15 season, and since then, few cricket boards have shown interest in men’s tri-series. Now, the Pakistan Cricket Board is eager to revive this tradition.

Pakistan to host Kiwis and Proteas sides in a 4-match ODI Tri-series

Pakistan recently announced their 2024-25 home fixtures, which include an ODI tri-series featuring New Zealand and South Africa. Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy, the Kiwi and Proteas sides will tour Pakistan. However, this series will feature only four games, including the final.
