Pakistan found a new rising star in Mohammad Hasnain who showed great promise for his country in white-ball cricket. The right-arm fast bowler was a part of BBL and also played few games of PSL. However, the emerging fast bowler has found himself in trouble as his bowling action has come under scrutiny and has been found to be illegal. This could be a great blow for the up-and-coming Pakistani pacer who was starting to enjoy his cricket.

The pacer’s bowling action came under the microscope while playing in the Big Bash League for Sydney Thunder recently. Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling action would have gone under examination in Australia itself, if not for his traveling plans. After providing his services in BBL, the 21-year-old lad became a part of the Pakistan Super League where he represented Quetta Gladiators in 3 matches.

Mohammad Hasnain will work with a bowling consultant

Mohammad Hasnain was given a rest against Islamabad and now Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a statement on how a bowling consultant will be working with the pace bowler to rectify his bowling action. As a result of his action, the young bowler will be suspended from international cricket and will make a comeback only when the correction has been made in his bowling action.

“The PCB today received a formal and detailed report from Cricket Australia on Mohammad Hasnain’s assessment test, which state his elbow extension for his good length delivery, full-length delivery, slow bouncer and bouncer exceeded the 15-degree limits. The PCB has discussed the report with its own bowling experts and is confident that the problem can be resolved,” said the Pakistan Cricket Board in their statement.
