Pakistan Team To Follow A Strict Diet Plan Of Misbah Ul Haq

Questions over Pakistan team players’ fitness have arisen after a humiliating loss against India in 2019 World Cup group stage match. Players were spotted eating ‘pizza and burgers before the match and after the loss, they got brutally trolled. Especially, during the match, Pak captain Sarfraz Ahmed spotted yawning and became a meme material as the pictures went viral. Fans even started comparing his fitness with Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is arguably the most dedicated cricketer.

Pakistan Team New Diet Plan

Unprofessional behaviour of Pakitan team had left Prime Minister Imran Khan saddened. Pak PM has pledged to prepare a strong team for the 2023 edition of World Cup. Pakistan board started the process by sacking Micky Arthur from the head coach position. And recently, PCB has chosen former Pak batsman Misbah Ul Haq to take over the command as head coach. However, Sarfraz Ahmed will continue as the captain.

As soon as Misbah Ul Haq is appointed as the new coach, he has ordered a new diet plan for the Pakistan team. He has cut out the sweets and oily foods from the menu of Pakistan team players. Now Pak players diet plan includes barbecue food, pasta, fruits, boiled food, salads. 43-year old has said that the players will not be having biryani, junk foods, sweets and red meat meals.

Sri Lanka Tour Of Pakistan

Now, Pakistan will host Sri Lanka for a limited-overs tour. The tour is starting with the 3-match ODI series from 27 September. Following, there will be a 3 T20 matches. However, a controversy awoke as Sri Lankan players pulled out of the Pakistan tour.

Players including captain Dimuth Kanuratne, Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mathews stated that their families are concerned about the security of players in Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan board has announced a team which to be led by Lahiru Thirimanne.
