Pakistan is all set to take on New Zealand for a 3-match ODI and a 5-match T20I series. It’s after 13 years that Pakistan is going to play New Zealand in a home series. The tour kicks off with the ODI series, the first match of which is to be played on Friday, September 17. Though a second-string New Zealand squad is touring Pakistan, the hosts are ready to keep their best foot forward in order to bring International Cricket back to Pakistan. The first choice players of New Zealand are currently in the UAE, gearing up for the second leg of IPL 2021.

“It would have been nicer had their best team come,” said Babar, who is the captain of the Pakistan side. “But whatever the composition of their team we will play to our best and win the series,” he added.
