The West Indies Cricket team’s white-ball tour of Pakistan is all set to begin from the 13th of December. The tour consists of a 3-match T20 series and an ODI series of as many matches. After the consecutive cancellation of New Zealand and England Cricket Team’s tour to Pakistan, this tour becomes of utmost importance to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The 26-member West Indies team flew to Karachi on Thursday and was escorted to the Team Hotel amid high security, as stated by a PCB Official.
The Pakistan side is coming after clean-sweeping an away T20I series against Bangladesh. Pakistan’s Limited over side has continued the great form after their T20 World Cup Campaign. A full-strength Pakistan Team is all set to host the Windies over the period of the next two weeks.
The Windies side on the other hand is without their white-ball Captain Kieron Pollard. In his absence, Nicholas Pooran will be captaining the T20 side and Shai Hope will lead the West Indies in the ODIs. The T20 stars of the Caribbean – Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell and Lendl Simmons have all opted out of the tour citing personal reasons.
