MS Dhoni is performing his military duty in Kashmir. Since Indian keeper has joined the duty his pictures and videos from the army camps are getting viral. Recently, a video surfaced on the internet in which Dhoni can be seen singing ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar’ song in front of army people.
Users posting this video on social media accounts assuming as this is a recent video of Dhoni. But the reality is this video is from a programme on Aaj Tak news channel which was aired on Republic Day 2014. Now this video of Dhoni singing getting viral as he has joined the army in Kashmir.

Dhoni is a Lt. Colonel in the para regiment of the Territorial Army. Before in 2015, Dhoni had also joined the army for para training. Then, he had completed his first para jump at the height of 15000 feet. Now, Dhoni’s duty in Kashmir is patrolling, guard and post duty and he will perform his duty in until 15th August.
After the 2019 World Cup, there were talks of former Indian captain’s retirement. Bt between these talks Dhoni had decided to take a break from cricket and serve his duties in the army. Dhoni has not made any comment on his future in cricket after the world cup ouster.

But selectors have made clear that Dhoni is not their first choice for wicket-keeper. Although, he will be a part of the Indian team in certain tours and will have the duty of grooming youngsters like Rishabh Pant.
In Dhoni’s absence, India whitewashed West Indies in T20I series by 3-0. After getting out early in the first two matches, Rishabh Pant finally played a responsible knock. After India lost two wickets on 27 runs, Pant and Kohli built a 106-run partnership and both reached their fifties. Before getting out Kohli scored 59 off 45 balls while Pant remained unbeaten at 65 after playing 42 balls.
