Parthiv Patel suggests a change

Rajasthan Royals have been pretty consistent in this year’s IPL and have maintained their position in the Top-4 ever since the inception of the 15th edition. Currently, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are in first and second position respectively. Rajasthan has a very good chance of toppling LSG and acquiring the second position on the points and Parthiv Patel suggests a change which could help them do that.

Shimron Hetmyer has played a pivotal role in RR’s success so far in the tournament, but the swashbuckling batsman had to travel for the birth of his first child. He has now re-joined the troop and Parthiv Patel suggests a change where he opines that Hetmyer should replace Jimmy Neesham in their last league game. The game is crucial because if RR wins the match, they will move up to the second position, which has its own perks.

“I think only one simple change is needed if Hetmyer is available. He should come in for Jimmy Neesham, they don’t need to consider any other change than that, everything is going well for them,” said Parthiv Patel while previewing the game on Cricbuzz.

For the uninitiated, the Top-2 teams on the points table get a second chance if they lose Qualifier 1. The losing team gets an opportunity to make it to the final as they play Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator 1. Parthiv Patel suggests a change that could be a very good move on part of the Rajasthan team because Hetmyer has been an integral part of their Playing XI and has contributed to the team’s success.
