The cricket lovers are in for a high dose of entertainment as the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is going to resume in the month of September-October. The fans are already bracing themselves for the second leg of the tournament which had to be postponed due to the rising cases in the camps. As BCCI and Indian players prepare for the league, the Australian pacer Pat Cummins has announced that he will not be returning for the league.

The BCCI has already locked the September-October window for the remainder of the IPL. Earlier, there were speculations that the remainder of the 14th edition of the league may not be played at all and the tournament will be suspended for this year. However, the board made sure that they resume the league and don’t deprive the fans of the pleasure that IPL brings with it.

Pat Cummins won’t play the remainder of IPL 2021

Though the plans for the league are out, it is yet to see how many foreign players will participate in the second leg of the league. All the foreign players had to leave the country as the tournament was halted midway due to the second wave of Coronavirus. Cricket Australia is yet to make an announcement regarding the participation of the players; however, Pat Cummins has already made it clear that he won’t be a part of the remainder of the tournament.

It is to note that Pat Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping amount of over INR 15crs. and is amongst one of the most expensive players that have ever been bought in the history of the IPL. It would be quite unusual for the fans to watch the Indian Premier League with the foreign players missing.
