PCB Issues Apology For Insensitive Tweet After Sarfraz Ahmed's Sacking

The captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed was under the scanner from the quite some time now. And during the World Cup 2019, Sarfraz’s Captainship was one of the hottest topics among the fans. Actually, during the tournament, he had taken some bad decisions and also his fitness level forced the fans to troll him. Even the Pakistan legendary cricketer Shoaib Akhtar also take a dig at him by seeing the level of his fitness.

Recently, Pakistan team has lost a T20I home series against Srilanka with 3-0 margin. This is probably the main reason behind Sarfraz’s dismiss as the captain. Pakistan Cricket Board has replaced him with Azhar Ali in Test and Babar Azam in T20I as the role of captain in the side. However, still, Pakistan Cricket Board has not announced the new captain of One Day Internationals.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board has tweeted something which has definitely worked as the salt on Sarfraz’s newly wounds. Actually, moment after the Sarfraz Ahmed’s removal, PCB tweeted a GIF of Pakistan players dancing. And the funniest was in the GIF that Sarfraz Ahmed was seen leaving the frame in the GIF.

Although, Pakistan Cricket didn’t take much time to realise their mistake and was quick to issue an apology over the incident. “The PCB apologies for this post and accepts the timing of it was wrong. This was a pre-planned post as part of the one-year to go #T20WorldCup promotional campaign. The timing of this post clashed with the captaincy announcement for which the PCB offers its regrets.”
