Pragyan Ojha posted a cryptic message on Twitter related to the ongoing controversy in Indian cricket.

In the last week or so, many controversies have brewed that have made the fans think if everything is right with Indian cricket.  Yesterday, India Test captain Virat Kohli dropped another bombshell and exploded the social media with his statement.

Contradicting the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, Virat asserted he was not told to reconsider the decision of leaving the T20I captaincy. However, Sourav in an interview to News18, had said that he personally requested the former white-ball captain to not give away the T20I leadership.

It’s like I said… I personally requested him (Kohli) not to give up the T20I captaincy. Obviously, he felt the workload. Which is fine, he has been a great cricketer, he has been very intense with his cricket. He has captained for a long period of time and these things happen. Because I have captained for a long period of time; therefore, I know. Also, they wanted only one white-ball captain. And that’s why this decision. I don’t know what’s going to happen in future. But as I said, it’s a good team and it has some fantastic players and I hope they will turn it around,” Ganguly said in an interview to News18.

Pragyan Ojha took an indirect dig at Virat

As Virat’s shocking revelation stunned the cricketing fraternity, fans came in his support.  But former India spinner Pragyan Ojha posted a cryptic message on Twitter that can be considered as a sly dig at Kohli.

Ojha is a member of IPL Governing Council and supposedly taking the side of the BCCI on this issue, he in a way mentioned that the internal matter between the board and Virat should not have come out in public. “A good chef knows what to show and what not to, when he is trying to prepare a delicious dish! As the reputation of the kitchen and the restaurant is on him,” Ojha tweeted.

For the unversed, after Virat resigned as the T20I captain of India, he was sacked as the ODI captain. The reason behind his sacking given by Ganguly was that the selectors have chosen to go with a single white-ball skipper, who is Rohit Sharma.
