The young left-arm pacer showcase his skills in the game against SRH where he defended 21 runs against Abdul Samad and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Captain Rohit Sharma showed faith in the youngster who was playing only his second game.
Arjun lived up to his captain’s expectations and delivered high class over in a tensed situation. SRH’s impact substitute Abdul Samad couldn’t put Arjun’s accurate wide yorkers out of the park and at the end MI won by 14 runs.
Even in the commentary box former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan praised his ability of bowling yorkers. He said, “I have heard a lot about his yorkers in the death overs in the domestic circuit”. The all-rounder even said that “Arjun just needs to increase his pace a bit more and then you’ll get a great bowler”.

The bowler has been getting a lot of negative comments since the day he got picked by MI in the 2022 IPL. Although he didn’t get a chance to play in his first stint but the player got his opportunity in the second season.
He made his debut against KKR where he didn’t get any wicket but looked in control with his line and length. The youngster also showed the ability to swing the ball upfront.
His breakthrough game came against SRH in his second match where picked a wicket and conceded only 18 runs in his 2.5 overs.
