Prithvi Shaw bags another duck as Mitchell Starc rattles opener’s stumps

Even after getting bad performance in the warm-up matches, Team India management shows faith in Prithvi Shaw for the opening slot in the first test match against Australia ahead of KL Rahul and Shubhaman Gill. However, Prithvi Shaw again failed to prove his worth as Mitchell Starc rattles his stumps with an absolute jaffa. He was unable to open his account in the day/night test match at Adelaide as Starc’s ability to angle the ball back dismissed Shaw for the duck.

Earlier in the warmup matches against Australia A, Indian young batsman didn’t inspire much with his bat. He scored 0, 19, 40 and 3 in four-inning across two matches. Since a long time Shaw’s lack of footwork making difficulties to him, even in the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League, he has been faced an inconsistent run of performances.

Mitchell Starc’s Ability To Angle The Ball Dismisses Prithvi Shaw

During the first match of Australia vs India series 2020, Mitchell Starc took only three balls to dismiss India’s first wicket in the name of Prithvi Shaw. This is not for the first time that Prithvi Shaw is getting out in such type of angle ball. Earlier, many times he got dismissed in the same fashion and lack of footwork from the Indian youngster becomes the biggest problem for him now.

Earlier in the day/night test match, India after winning the toss opted to bat first. So far in the first session of the Day 1, India scored 41 runs for 2 wickets. In the first session of the Day, Australia wins the battle as they grabbed India’s both openers. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins both took 1-1 wicket each. Starc dismissed Shaw and Pat Cummins Dismissed Mayank Agarwal with an absolute beautiful inswing ball.
