Team India’s young opening batter Prithvi Shaw has remained in the headlines for the past some time due to his lack of fitness. Recently, a cricket fan wrote a body shaming comment on an Instagram picture of Shaw after which he gave a savage reply to shut down the troll.

Shaw hasn’t got much chance for the Men in Blue in the last couple of years as he has been inconsistent in domestic cricket and IPL. However, he recently did pretty well in the Royal London One-Day Cup 2023 playing for the Northamptonshire team.

Jaisi aapki aagya: Prithvi Shaw shuts down a troll on Instagram

The Northamptonshire club posted a picture of Prithvi Shaw on Instagram on July 31 welcoming him into their side ahead of their opening game in the 2023 season. A cricket fan trolled Shaw over his lack of fitness and urged him to transform his body like star Indian batter Virat Kohli and stop being around girls.

The comment didn’t go well with the young opening batter and he decided to give a witty reply to the troll for body shaming.

“A Prithvi bhai ldki vdki ka chakkar chod aur Kohli ke tarah apne body ko transform kar.. jo jo process usne kiya tha wahi kar..,” the troll commented on Instagram.

Shaw didn’t take much time to give a befitting reply to the troll and wrote, “Ji Pandit ji jaisi aapki aagya,”

Prithvi Shaw’s hilarious reply to his troll on Instagram immediately went viral across the social media platforms. The troll faced heavy criticism over his inappropriate remark on the Indian batter and he eventually deleted the comment.

Meanwhile, Shaw performed exceptionally well for the Northamptonshire club in the Royal London One-Day Cup 2023. He played an exceptional knock of 244 runs against Somerset which was also the highest-ever individual score in the tournament.

The young batter slammed 429 runs in just 4 One-Day games and showed that he can score even in tough foreign conditions. However, he suffered an injury during the tournament and is currently undergoing treatment in the United Kingdom for a Grade 2 Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) injury.

While Prithvi Shaw proved how impactful he can be in the top order, his fitness still remains a concern for the Indian team selectors. Due to the ligament injury he is expected to miss the cricketing action for the next few months which might include a couple of key tournaments as well.
