Delhi Capitals’ star batter Prithvi Shaw has remained in all sorts of limelight for quite some time now courtesy of his off-field activities. On May 26, Prithvi Shaw made his first public appearance with actress Nidhi Tapadia at IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi after which their video went viral on social media.
Prithvi Shaw was last seen on the field during the Delhi Capitals’ last league match in IPL 2023 against Chennai Super Kings. The DC franchise lost the game by 77 runs and was eliminated from the tournament as they lost 9 out of their 14 games and had only 10 points against their name.

DC batter Prithvi Shaw made his first public appearance with his girlfriend Nidhi Tapadia at the IIFA 2023 awards in Abu Dhabi on Friday, May 26. Shaw was spotted posing with Nidhi on the green carpet of IIFA after which their video went viral across social media platforms.
Prithvi Shaw was decked in all black, wearing a sleeveless jacket, black shirt, black jeans and a black cap to top that. On the other hand, Nidhi Taparia was wearing a black saree as the couple posed for some pictures during the event.

Nidhi Tapadia is a 22-year-old model and actress from Nashik, Maharashtra and is said to be Prithvi Shaw’s girlfriend. The DC batter was earlier spotted posing with Nidhi in New Year’s Eve together in a Mumbai nightclub. A few months back, Shaw had also commented on one of her Instagram pictures and the comment went viral as well.
Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw’s off-field controversies have made headlines quite a few times in the last few months. He was involved in a heated argument with influencer Sapna Gill for which the cricketer had filed an FIR as well.
While his off-field life remained controversial, the young opener was sensational in the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2022 and 2023. He scored 595 runs in 6 games in the Ranji Trophy while having 332 runs in 10 games in the last edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

However, he failed to deliver for Delhi Capitals in the initial games of the IPL 2023 season as the team management eventually dropped him from the playing XI. He again got a chance in the playing XI after getting excluded from a few games and then he scored a half-century against the Punjab Kings.
