PSL 2022: Bail falls but Ben Cutting survives, the incident leaves his wife Erin Holland confused

In the first look, it seemed like Cutting played on and got out but the batsman survived.

The Pakistan Super League started on 27th January, 2022 with the Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans clash. The league has been going on in a good flow and the fans are enjoying the contest amongst the different teams. The 11th match of the tournament between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi witnessed a strange incident which left Ben Cutting’s wife Erin Holland confused.

Babar Azam who is leading the Karachi Kings opted to bowl after winning the toss. The Peshawar Zalmi batsmen batted well and gave their opponent a target of 174. During the Zalmi inning, a strange incident took place, in which the bail fell off the stumps, but Ben Cutting survived. Cutting’s wife Erin Holland was left unhappy seeing the bail coming off the stumps.

The incident took place in the 14th over of the Peshawar Zalmi inning when Ben Cutting was on strike and Mohammad Nabi was bowling. Nabi bowled a flatter delivery and Cutting inside edged the flick. Just when the batsman played the delivery, the bail came off and it left Cutting’s wife Erin Holland displeased and her reaction was caught on camera. However, the wicketkeeper clarified that it was his glove that made the bail fall.

Erin Holland was seen laughing when she realized that Ben Cutting was still on the crease and did not play on. As for the match, Karachi Kings couldn’t chase the target in their 20 overs and are on the verge of elimination after losing all the 4 matches they have played so far. On the other hand, the victory meant that the Peshawar Zalmi are on the 4th position on the points table now.

Peshawar Zalmi will play their next fixture on 05th Feb against Multan Sultans while Karachi Kings will face Islamabad United in their next contest. It will be a Do or Die match for the Karachi Kings as the loss could mean elimination for them.
