A tragedy unwanted tragedy happened at the Quetta Gladiators. The PSL Exhibition match between Babar and Sarfaraz’s teams stopped after Bomb Blast near Stadium.
On Sunday eve Pakistan has seen another bomb blast at the Quetta-Sibi highway which is a few kilometers away from the Bugti Stadium. The blast injured many security personnel as it occurred near Quetta police headquarters.

The Pre-season friendly game between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators was affected as the crowd outside the stadium pelted stones. It is still unclear why the mob outside the Bugti Stadium created such chaos. Fans inside the stadium had to save themselves with the chairs in the stands.
People inside the stands used the chairs as a protective shield to save their heads from heavy stones.

The protesters even burned some properties of the stadium which led to hazardous smoke. Later the security and police had to interfere in the situation and the game was delayed for a moment. Though the game was later continued and the hosts won the match by 4 runs.
The special exhibition game was organized in Bugti Stadium to bring cricket action to the city
PCB allotted a special pre-season game to Bugti Stadium before the PSL 8, as the venue will not host any game despite having a team. Things didn’t turn out to be as smooth as expected due to the chaos outside of the stadium.

PSL 8 will kick off on the 13th of February
The Pakistan super league will be back in action on the 13th of February and will be wrapped up on the 19th of March. Top cricketing stars of the world will play along with the Pakistani national players. In addition Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam will be playing for Peshawar Zalmi for the first time.

The exhibition game saw Babar Azam playing his first game in the Zalmi shirt but things didn’t go his way, unfortunately as Quetta won the game.
The first game of the tournament will be played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at Multan Cricket Stadium.
