The former Indian leg spinner who is also a cricket panellist, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan identified a few flaws in Ashwin’s bowling action. The former cricket tweeted down the mistakes that R Ashwin was making on Social media which led to him facing a lot of criticism.

Nowadays social media has given the power to the world of voicing out their opinion loud in front of everyone with the help of social media. The Star Sports panelist Laxman Sivaramkrishnan faced backlash from the fans for spotting a mistake in Ravi Ashwin’s bowling style.

The former Leg spinner addressed the problem in Ashwin’s non-bowling arm and body opening towards offside. He tweeted “This picture has gone viral on SM. Enlarge the image and you notice his non-bowling arm and upper body has opened up towards the offside. If you look at his lower body is closed. This leads to a lack of synchronisation. Ash quickly needs to correct this to be more effective,”

The 57-year-old former Indian cricketer wanted Ashwin to rectify this mistake as soon as possible to be more effective in the forthcoming World Cup. However, the fans took it otherwise and started trolling him instead.

After being attacked by the fans on X for his post on Ashwin’s bowling action mistake post, Laxman posted another tweet on X. The panelist said he reached out to Ashwin via phone and he was as surprised as him by the trolls.

Ashwin replaces Axar for the World Cup 2023

Ashwin has been included in the current Indian squad after Axar Patel failed to recover from his left quadriceps strain. The right-arm off-spinner has got the opportunity to play in his third 50 over World Cup after missing out on the last one.

The 37-year-old got the chance to play against Australia in the recently conducted ODI series in which he showed his quality and control. He picked up 4 wickets in the two games he played with an economy of just over 4.

R Ashwin will be very lethal in the spin pitches of Chennai and Lucknow where India is going to play Australia and England in the World Cup 2023. However, India might be thinking of going horses for courses approach between Shardul Thakur and R Ashwin.
