Team India Head Coach and his support staff’s duty time is going to end after the ongoing series against West Indies. Therefore, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already invited the new applications for Team India new staff.

However, a plenty of Applicants has applied for this job including team India’s current coach Ravi Shastri. A panel of 3 members appointed by BCCI will select the name of Team India New Coach. And there is not yet any big statement or update has came from the panel. However, one of the member of this panel has addressed that Virat and company is doing well under Ravi Shastri. And Team India current coach is willing to continue, he added.

Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Bangar, Bharat Arun and S Sridhar Job time-period came to an end

Team India Head coach Ravi Shastri, batting coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling and fielding caoch Bharat Arun and S Sridhar Job time period is going to end after the ongoing West Indies series. However, they can apply again for the job but decision of selection lies to the 3 members panel.

Panel hints Ravi Shastri will retain the Job

One of the member of panel hints to choose Ravi Shastri as India’s next coach. The panel said that they will prefer Indian coach over foreign candidates. The panel member has also addressed that Ravi Shastri has done very good work in the past time and there is no need for change.

“We are not too keen to bring in a foreign coach. Yes, had someone of the stature of Gary Kirsten applied, we might have given it a thought. But even then, an Indian would have always been the priority. After all, the team has also done well under an Indian head coach, so why look for a change? As things stand now, Shastri does look to be the favourite to be handed a fresh contract,” the panel member said.

Vinod Rai, the CoA hea, has told that three-member panel will conduct the process of selection of new coach. And there will not be any need of recommendation of anyone.
