The match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore turned out to be a one-sided affair as CSK outplayed RCB in all the departments. The fans would not have thought how the match played out after a 111-run opening stand which got RCB to a flying start. There was a humourous incident in the match as Ravindra Jadeja tickles the funny bone with his action on the field.

Royals Challengers Bangalore got off to a wonderful start with both their openers attacking the bowlers. Especially, Virat Kohli was in the mood to swing the bat hard and attack. Padikkal played sensibly while Kohli went all guns blazing. One of the highlights of Kohli’s inning was the no-look six in the fifth over off Shardul Thakur. There was one other highlight of this inning where Ravindra Jadeja tickles the funny bone, patting umpire Anil Chaudhary’s back.

The moment came in the match in the 11th over when Ravindra Jadeja was bowling to the set Devdutt Padikkal. He fired the ball wide from round the wicket and Padikkal let it go. The ball was very close to being called a wide, but umpire Anil Chaudhary reckoned that it was inside the line. It was immediately after this that Ravindra Jadeja patted the back of Anil Chaudhary for not giving it a wide.

RCB’s inning lost steam after an opening century stand and all the other batsmen that followed were unable to hit big shots. As a result, RCB could only achieve an average score of 156, which proved to be a cakewalk for CSK as they attained the target in just 18.1 overs with Ruturaj Gaikwad being the top scorer scoring 38. CSK are now the table toppers with 14 points in 9 matches. On the other hand, RCB has 10 points in 9 matches.
