Indian opener Shubhman Gill missed a well-deserved century in the 3rd ODI against West Indies on Wednesday, due to rain. The right-hander was just two runs short of his maiden International century when it started raining. Unfortunately, the Indian batting could not resume and Gill missed on what could have been a brilliant hundred. Meanwhile, RCB had already posted a congratulatory message for Shubhman Gill on Twitter, anticipating his maiden century. The IPL franchise was hence trolled for their ahead-of-time post.
Team India’s white-ball tour to the Caribbean has started off with a memorable ODI series win against the hosts. The Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian side completely dominated the 3-match ODI series against the Windies as they managed to defeat the hosts 3-0. After winning the first two games, which were close encounters, the Indian side managed to win the 3rd ODI by a huge 119-run margin although the match was affected due to rain. Shubhman Gill was named the Player of the match as well as the series.

Shubhman Gill put up a show with his bat in the 3rd ODI and was well set for his first ever ODI ton. However, it started pouring untimely and dashed hopes. It happened when Shubhman was batting at the score of 98*, the rain came in and took away the remaining overs of the Indian batting. Anticipating Shubhman’s century RCB had already posted a congratulatory message for him on Twitter, however, Gill was stranded at the score of 98* and RCB was trolled for their early tweet.

Shubhman Gill was named the Player of the Series
Shubhman Gill looked to be in great touch throughout the series and scored runs in all three games. However, it was in the 3rd ODI that he came very close to scoring his maiden ODI hundred. Though he could not get to his maiden 100, he was named the Player of the match as well as the Series. The right-hander scored a total of 205 runs in the three matches.
