In the Women IPL Auction Smriti Mandhana got the highest bid of rupees 3.40 Cr. The reaction of Smriti Mandhana and her teammates wins the internet as she gets the first bid in the Women’s Premier League.

The first-ever women’s IPL is going to kick off on the 4th of March. The auction took place on the 13th of February, 409 players were on the auction table for the bidding process of which 246 were Indian.

All the top international women cricketers in the world put their names on the auction table. Only 90 players had the opportunity to get picked by the 5 franchises.

Smriti Mandhana gets the highest bid in WIPL Auction 2023

The star Indian opener Smriti Mandhana gets the highest bid in the WIPL auction. Royal Challengers Banglore picked her for a whooping 3.4 Crores and made a huge signing. Along with Mandhana RCB also picked Australian star allrounder Ellyse Perry for 1.7 Crore.

RCB fans are absolutely pleased with the signing of both star players and they even compared them with the RCB legends Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. The signing of Smriti and Ellyse would not just strengthen the playing xi of RCB but also the fanbase.

As ICC Womens T20 World Cup is taking place in South Africa, most of the top players are playing in the tournament. The players watched the auction in hotel rooms waiting for their names to appear.

The first name in the auction was of none other than Smriti Mandhana. The moment Mandhana’s bid went underway every other player sitting in the room screamed. Smiriti along with her teammates were so happy when MI and RCB were fighting for her.

In the end, RCB was able to seal the bid on 3.4 Crores. Everyone in the room congratulated Smriti for fetching such a huge bid. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her fellow teammates hugged Smriti and screamed the team chant.

The second-highest bid in the auction was fetched by Ashleigh Gardner from Australia (3.2 Crores).
