Reports: Pakistan Team orders food from Zomato as Biryani not served in Kolkata Hotel

Pakistan Cricket Team is currently in Kolkata as they are scheduled to play against Bangladesh in Eden Gardens. Men in green are on the verge of getting knocked out of the World Cup and amid this, they are catching attention for other reasons. As per reports, on October 29, the Pakistan Cricket Team refused to have dinner at Team Hotel and instead ordered their favorite food items via Zomato food delivery app.

Pakistan Players ordered food from Zomato in Kolkata

As per Pakistan Sports journalist Farid Khan, Biryani was not available at the 5-star hotel where the Pak team is staying. So, the Pakistan players ordered Biryani, Chap, Firni (Kheer), Kebabs, and Shahi Tukda from a nearby restaurant named ‘Zam Zam’. The director of the restaurant informed ANI that they had no idea that the order was made by Pakistan Cricket Players.

“The order came through an online food delivery platform. They ordered three dishes which were biryani, kebabs, and chap. They ordered it on Sunday evening after 7 PM. Initially, we had no idea that the order was from the Pakistan cricket team but later we got to know it. I hope they liked the food. People from every nationality should come and try our food. Kolkata has its own style of biryani which is very famous all over the world,” Shadman Faize the director of the Zam Zam Restaurant told ANI.

Pakistan Team faces criticism for Food Choices

Since the Pakistan team arrived in India, their food choices have become the subject of jokes for many. While most athletes show dedication by opting for healthy food to stay in shape, Pakistan’s players seem to find it challenging to control their taste buds.
