IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals is all set to offer a lucrative multi-year contract to Jos Buttler, the British newspaper ‘Telegraph’ reported on June 29. The RR franchise have their presence in ILT20, SA20, Caribbean Premier League and Major League Cricket.

“England’s white-ball captain Jos Buttler is set to be offered a landmark four-year deal by his Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals,” the report in ‘Telegraph’ said.

“It is understood that the offer to Buttler is yet to be formally tabled, and it’s unclear whether the T20 World Cup winning captain intends to accept the deal,” it further added about the offer by the Rajasthan Royals franchise.

As per the latest development, the Rajasthan Royals franchise is planning to offer England skipper Jos Buttler a four-year-long deal to play for RR and other teams of the same management. The aggressive batter has been reportedly offered INR 40 crore for 4 years.

Buttler has been one of RR’s best batter since he moved to the Jaipur-based franchise after playing for the Mumbai Indians. He led the England side to victory in the 2022 T20 World Cup and played a crucial role in their victory in the 2019 ODI World Cup as well.

Currently, Buttler plays for Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League and Paarl Royals in SA20 but does not play for Barbados Royals in the CPL. He might also get picked by the RR management for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA.

It’s worth noting that the English skipper might have to give up his national contract in order to accept the multi-year deal from the RR franchise. He will have to seek permission from the management of Rajasthan Royals to play for his national side in any format of the game.
