Kolkata Knight Riders’ batter Rinku Singh smashed Gujarat Titans’ pacer Yash Dayal for 5 consecutive sixes as KKR defeated GT by 3 wickets in the IPL 2023 game on April 9. After Rinku Singh hit 5 sixes against Yash Dayal, their recent Instagram chat has gone viral on social media.
Gujarat Titans had posted a mammoth total of 204-4 in their 20 overs. Their stand-in skipper Rashid Khan grabbed a hat-trick as he dismissed Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur on consecutive deliveries in the 17th over.
After Rashid Khan took a hat-trick Kolkata Knight Riders’ fans lost all hopes of winning the game against Gujarat Titans. However, young Rinku Singh had different plans as he helped them chase the massive target on the last delivery of the KKR innings.

Kolkata Knight Riders had defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 6 by 81 runs. Rinku Singh played a crucial knock of 46 runs off just 33 deliveries and made a formidable partnership with Shardul Thakur that changed the complexion of the game.
After the grand victory, Rinku Singh posted a few pictures of himself and his KKR teammates on Instagram. He wrote the caption, “Memorable Victory Special mention to all our wonderful fans for turning up in huge numbers and having our back.”
Gujarat Titans’ pacer Yash Dayal applauded Rinku’s innings and commented on the picture,” Big player bhai.” Rinku Singh acknowledged the comment posted by Yash Dayal.
It’s worth noting that both Rinku Singh and Yash Dayal play for the Uttar Pradesh side in the domestic cricket. The two players have played a lot of cricket together as Yash Dayal appreciated Rinku Singh’s innings against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Kolkata Knight Riders needed 29 runs off the last over which looked like a herculean task for them. Yash Dayal was given the opportunity to bowl the last over as all senior bowlers had done with their quota of 4 overs. Umesh Yadav took a single off the first delivery and brought Rinku Singh on strike.
Dayal bowled three consecutive full tosses as Rinku smashed three sixes after which the pressure was on the Gujarat Titans’ bowler. The bowler came back to his length but still, Rinku Singh was able to hit two more sixes making it 5 consecutive sixes in the final over.
