Road Safety World Series 2020: India Legends Squad Announced, Check Full Schedule

The much-awaited Road Safety World Series will lock horns on March 7, 2020, with the opening match between Sachin Tendulkar led India legends and Brain Lara's West Indies legend.

The much-awaited Road Safety World Series will lock horns on March 7, 2020, with the opening match between Sachin Tendulkar led India legends and Brain Lara’s West Indies legend. This match has been scheduled at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On Sunday, 16 Feb, India legends have announced their full squad for the upcoming series.

India Legends Squad For Road Safety World Series 2020

Indian former legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will lead the India legends team in the upcoming series. Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan like legendary cricketers will all be the part of Indian Legends squad.

Tournament Format

A total of five teams will fight in Road Safety World Series 2020. This league will be played between 7 March and 22 March. Three venues in India will host 11 matches of Road Safety tournament 2020. These three venues are Wankhede (Mumbai), DY Patil (Navi Mumbai) and MCA Stadium (Pune). The final of the tournament is being played on March 22 at CCI Ground, Brabourne Stadium.

This series will feature legendary former cricketers from 5 nations. The five teams in the tournament are; India Legends, West Indies Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends and South Africa Legends. The matches of the tournament will be of 20 overs per innings.

Match 2- March 8: Australia Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends at Wankhede (Mumbai)

Match 3- March 10: India Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends at DY Patil (Navi Mumbai)

Match 4- March 11: West Indies Legends vs South Africa Legends at @ DY Patil (Navi Mumbai)

Match 5- March 13: South Africa Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends at DY Patil (Navi Mumbai)

Match 6- March 14: India Legends vs South Africa Legends at MCA Stadium (Pune)

Match 7- March 16: Australia Legends vs West Indies Legends at MCA Stadium (Pune)

Match 8- March 17: West Indies Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends at MCA Stadium (Pune)

Match 9- March 19: Australia Legends vs South Africa Legends at DY Patil (Navi Mumbai)

Match 10- March 20: India Legends vs Australia Legends at MCA Stadium (Pune)

Match 11- March 22: TBA vs TBA at MCA Stadium (Pune)

“Road safety is a serious concern. One person dies every 4 minutes in India and we all should join hands to make our roads safe and save precious human lives,” added the senior member of the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra and Chairman of the Trust, Shant Bharat Surakshit Bharat.
