India and Pakistan men’s teams are set to meet on the field after almost a year. On Sunday, both heavyweights will start their Asia Cup campaign. Ahead of the mega clash, captains’ of both sides attended the press conference. Banters between journalists and players are natural ahead of the IND vs PAK games. Rohit Sharma also faced some cheeky questions from Pakistan journalists which he encountered with wit.

One of the journos tries to remind the Indian skipper of the humiliating defeat India faced in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Pakistani journalist asked: “Rohit, you know na last time what happened when India faced Pakistan, is it inhibiting ur team confidence?”

Rohit Sharma who is known for his witty behavior in press conferences was quick to deliver a savage reply. “See, I have a weak memory, I can’t remember the things that happened one year ago.” the Indian skipper’s answer was followed by laughter from media persons.

On a serious note, Rohit told that they have moved on since the 2021 defeat. “Yes, that loss did hurt us but some time has passed since that game was played. So, for us, we have got another challenge in front of us now. There is no point thinking about that loss now.” – Rohit Sharma answered to another reporter’s query.

Ahead of the IND vs PAK Clash

Both teams are looking strong, however, Pakistan are definitely going to miss Shaheen Afridi who had troubled Indian batters in power-play as far as their last clash is concerned. On the other hand, India will miss Jasprit Bumrah’s services.
