Salary of Virat & Anushka’s bodyguard is more than Team India’s C-grade cricketers

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are very popular faces in their respective industries. While Virat and Indian cricket are synonymous, Anushka Sharma is one of the list A Bollywood actresses.

The power couple got married in 2017 and since then, they have done their best efforts to maintain privacy. With their popularity shattering the roof, it is all but known that they must have hired a very good bodyguard.

In a recent report, it was revealed that Virat and Anushka’s bodyguard is Prakash Singh, who is nicknamed Sonu. The fun part lies in Prakash’s salary as it has been reported that he earns around 1.2 crore annually, which is more than Team India’s C-grade players.

Indian cricketers are contracted by the BCCI under A+, A, B and C contracts. Players falling under the C contract earn 1 crore annually. Likes of Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj fall under C-grade of BCCI’s Central Contract.

Sonu was with Anushka, even before her marriage with Virat. Now, he also helps the providing security to the Indian cricketer. As Sonu has been around with the couple for so long, they treat him like a family member.

Virat and Anushka got married on 11th December 2021. They celebrated the fourth anniversary of their marriage yesterday. The couple was blessed with a baby girl in January this year. They named her Vamika, which is another name of Goddess Durga.

While Anushka is yet to make an appearance in a movie after the birth of her daughter, Virat will be seen next in an away assignment against South Africa, starting from December 26 with the Boxing Day Test match.
